'Talbot House' is up in Cumbria.

This weekend 'Talbot House - a home from home' will be performed up at The Heron Theatre, Milnthorpe in Cumbria. This is the play's first outing of this year and will see the return of Iain Barton in the role of Maurice and Graeme Budd as Frank. The play is based on the real house in Belgium which during the First World War became a haven for Commonwealth troops - a place where they could escape from the war for a few hours. With more dates planned for the year it will be nice to get this one back on the road. Should you find yourself in the area on Friday or Saturday you can get tickets from telephoning : 01539 564283.

Another sell out show!

This week starts with news that the next 'Newhart & Lehrer' performance in Hemel Hempstead - March 12, has already sold out. For anyone hoping to have made that performance however there is no need to panic as the show will be at The Wyllyots Centre in Potters Barr two days later - Sunday March 14 (coincidentally Mothering Sunday). It is highly recommended to get tickets early as sales are also very fast there. Contact the Wyllyots box office on 01707 645005.

More good news for us here at BEP is that we are now representing the hugely talented magician and funny man, Tom Elliott. Tom was voted the 2009 Cotswold Magic Society Stage Magician of the Year and we are looking forward to working with Tom and ensuring he gets the publicity and attention he deserves. Watch this space for news of Tom's show and take a look at his website : www.laughingwithtom.co.uk

Tour goes up to the Lake District

Our top selling show of 2009 'An Evening with the humour of Bob Newhart and Tom Lehrer' will be off to the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, Cumbria on Friday and by all accounts this sounds like it will be yet another sell out performance.
In the past week more theatres have been signing up to take our various shows for the coming season with, amongst others, 'Let The Good Times Roll' being booked for Cornwall's Sterts Theatre and Haverhill Arts Centre.
Don't forget that as tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the month we will be hosting our hugely successful 'Venue Jazz Club' at The Venue, Old Bath Road, Cheltenham when we welcome 'Dom Frank's Strayhorn'. Postbop saxophonist Dom Franks leads his new high-octane swing to funk quintet, paying tribute to Dom's favorite horn players -Sonny Rollins, Kenny Garrett and Art Pepper among them. The group features local keyboard hero Alex Steele, young JazzFM award winning guitarist Lee Jones, bassist Wayne Elliot plus special guests.
